The space between
Maddy at 13 and a half is a joy to behold.
Sometimes it is a little melancholy to see the sun setting on her childhood.
(For example, her dearest doll Emily
hasn't been heard from or seen for quite some time.)
But then I remember all the wonderful things ahead of her
and I just feel lucky to be able to see how it all turns out.

You've seemed very nostalgic these days (yes, I've been reading, if not commenting.) I've enjoyed your inner musings put out there for general consumption. Oh, congratulations on the fellowship -- YEA YOU!!
She is really cute! Caleb will be going to church dances in December...maybe we'll have to come down to your stake for a dance. By the way, we are going to LDS day with the Red Sox on July 25th. Will you be there?
GORGEOUS picture, absolutely gorgeous. I love the sun setting behind her, and the metaphor, too. Well done, you.
um, Calibosmom, you can dream but I've totally staked out Maddy for one of my boys!
I feel the same way, so very sad to say goodbye to the current stage--but so excited to see what lies ahead.
Beautiful picture, beautiful girl, beautiful thoughts.
When I was reading Belong to Me (the sequel to Love Walked In...you've read it, right?), I thought about how very very very sad and sucky it would be to die before you saw how your kids turned out. It's so hard to have them grow up...I have a Last Baby post planned...but what a thrill to see who they turn out to be.
It is so cool to watch your children grow into adults. Two down, one to go. I miss the dolls too. They still sit around my daughter's room.
Your Maddy is a beautiful girl.
